4. Schedule

(1) Register on Jun. 6.

(2) Adjusting to racing place and hold the technical meeting.

(3) Have the opening ceremony of National Dragon Boat Month and have the 500m straight way race in the morning of Jun. 8. Have the 800m straight way race and awarding ritual in the afternoon. Have the send-off banquet and awarding ritual of finals in the evening.

(4) Departure on Jun. 9.

(5) Provide the groups free accommodations and local transportation in Chong Qing He Chuan from Jun. 3 to Jun 6 (4 days and 3 nights). Be in charge of the free transportation in Chong Qing (airport, station or bus station).

(6) If foreign race groups keep on take part in next tournament held by Chinese Dragon Boat Association, we are going to provide the free transportation from He Chuan to Guang Xi Nan Ning.

Ⅳ. 5th Nanning China International Dragon Boat Invitational Tournament

1. Place: South Lake Park, Nan Ning City Guang Xi China. Historically called Yong Zhou, Nan Ning is green in throughout the year. It is the capital of Guang Xi Zhuang autonomous region, the homeland of red beans. Its rich tourist resource and convenient transportation ensures the participants’ travel plan after the race. It is 7-hour railroad to Gui Lin, and 2-hour road to Bei Hai. The minorities, including Zhuang, Yao, Dong, Mu Lao, etc, who lives here for generations, have colorful national traditions, melodious folk songs, rich national festivals, and villages of Zhuang, Yao and Miao, which can be visited and stayed. All of these attract people all around the world.

4. Schedule

(1) Register on Jun. 11.

(2) Adjusting to racing place on Jun.12 and hold the technical meeting.

(3) Hold the opening ceremony, and have the standard Dragon Boat 800m straight Way race on Jun. 13.

(4) Have the standard Dragon Boat and 12-people Dragon Boat 500m straight way race on Jun. 14.

(5) During the day have the standard Dragon Boat and 12-people Dragon Boat 250m straight way race on Jun. 15. Have the send-off banquet in the evening.

(6) Departure on Jun. 16.

5.Provide the groups free accommodations and local transportation in Nan Ning from Jun. 11to Jun 16 (6 days and 5 nights). Be in charge of the free transportation in Nan Ning (airport, station or bus station).

The above tournaments provide prizes. Welcome Dragon Boat friends from all over the world to join the tournaments held by Chinese Dragon Boat Association in Yangtze river and Zhu Jiang river valley.

Fronterra is organizing a world’s first of its kind dragon boat tug of war at the Singapore River on 20 May. This is a very exciting event and gives the traditional dragon boat racing that unusual yet challenging twist. Around 200, 300 competitors are expected for 250m, 500m and 1000m races. Crews are to consist of 16 to 20 paddlers.

Each crew will participate to at least 6 races in a day (8 if retest and ranking for all)
Practice sessions will occur on Saturday and a 1000 meters race will be organized to test ourselves and just for fun!
The Dragon Boat Race Festival will be Nantes' hottest event in the upcoming summer!!

Traditional style dragon boat racing in some of the cleanest waters in Hong Kong. Races based on IDBF formats with heats, reps, semifinals and finals over a single distance of between 500m and 650m depending on conditions. All crews guaranteed minimum of three races. Men's, Mixed, Women's, Students and School categories. Event lasts from 08:00 to about 16:30hrs. Most of the fastest dragon boat crews in Hong Kong participate and
teams from overseas are now expressing interest. Singapore Paddle Club won the mixed event last year.
 

Taipei City Government encourages public to use public bus and event bus. The MRT Zhongxiao Fuxing Station will set up a “Dragon Boat Festival Bus” section during the event. The bus leaves every 10 to 20 minutes and charges only one trip fare. The bus number 33, 49, 72, 222, 286, Red 34, and Brown 16 will stop nearby the festival area. Public may get off at Dajia Elementary School and Dajia Riverside Park bus stand to enter the Park.

The none controlled District (Dajia Section and Yingfeng Section) will provide pay parking lots for a one time entrance fee of $100 NT. Due to limited parking spaces available, temporary parking lanes will be closed and towing will be strictly enforced for violators by Taipei City Police Department Traffic Division.

Dragon Boat Sport Friends!
On behalf of the Organizing Committee of the 1st International Regatta on a Cup of the Governor of Primorye territory 2007, I would like to express our most sincere appreciation for your dedication to the sport of Dragon Boat and would like to invite you to participate in the forthcoming International Regatta.

The Championships will be held on the aquaterritory of Amursky bay, which is located in the port city of Vladivostok, in the Far East of Russia, on June 29th - July 1st, 2007. This Regatta is organized and will be sponsored by the Administration of Primorye territory.

Dear Sir or Madam,

On behalf of the Chinese Dragon Boat Association, I!/m very glad to inform you that the CDBA will hold a series of dragon boat races during June 2005. One of the most important races is the 4^th Yangtse River Three Gorges Rally International Dragon Boat Competition.

The Yangtse River Three Gorges Rally International Dragon Boat Competition is one of the official races recognized by the IDBF. The Rally race held on the Yangtse River (C Mother River of China, has been enlisted into the Guinness World Record. The race is special and extremely challenging.

The 4^th Yangtse River Three Gorges Rally International Dragon Boat Competition will be held from June 3^rd to 7^th, 2005 in Yichang City, Hubei Province, China. The set events are Open, Women and Mixed 500m Straight Speed Race and 39Km Rally Race along the Yangtse River. The Organizing Committee will provide 20 dragon boat crews with free local reception . Each of the crews will be provided with free food, accommodation and local transportation between the airports or train stations ( in Yichang or Wuhan) and hotels as well as other official activities. All dragon boat crews can transfer from Beijing, Shanghai or Hong Kong to Yichang.

After the above race, the CDBA plans to invite all participating teams to dragon boat races of other cities (Shanghai, Dongguan City of Guangdong Province, Yueyang City of Hunan Province). Similar free local transportation, food and accommodation will be also provided to all participating teams. If your team is interested in our races, at your request we will provide you with relevant information and materials.

We sincerely welcome you to participate in all our races held by CDBA during the dragon month of June 2005.

PIDBF I am taking this opportunity to inform you that the 28th Penang International Dragon boat Festival 2007 will be scheduled on the 8, 9 and 10 June 2007 at the Teluk Bahang Dam, Penang.

This race is one of a series run under the auspices of the Netherlands Dragon Boat Federation for Dutch teams. International club teams and recreational/business teams are also heartily welcome to enjoy this race in Amsterdam. The day following the race, EHDC usually organizes a trip with the dragonboats through the canals of Amsterdam (weather and interest permitting), although due to the great popularity of the race with international teams in 2002, we may consider holding the races over the span of two days with auxilliary events.

The 1st Limassol Dragon Boat Festival Regatta, sanctioned by the Cyprus Dragon Boat Association and organised by Cyprus Dragon Boat Events, an Affiliate Event Organiser of the International Dragon Boat Festival (IDBF), will take place on Sat 18th and Sunday 19th October 2008
The Dragon Boat Regatta is primarily for local crews, with little or no dragon boating experience, therefore International Crews will race in their own competition, in addition to the local races. The Limassol Dragon Boat Regatta is supported by the Limassol City Government and is part of the Limassol Sports Festival.
THE LIMASSOL FESTIVAL DRAGON BOAT RACES will be held on the sea in the area of the sea front at the Old Harbour end of the promenade. Competitors must be water confident when wearing a buoyancy aid. and ideally, able to swim at least 50 yards, unaided, in light clothing. BOATS and equipment will be provided.
Local Races will take place over approximately 200 metres on both days, with additional 500m races for International Crews. Crews can be single sex or a mixture of males and females of any age over 12 years old.
Each crew is guaranteed a minimum of 3 races during each day of competition. Practice session, before the event, will be arranged at no additional cost to the Regatta Admin Fee. (Call Andy Ermogenous on + 357 99 679138)
Regatta Admin Fee: There will be a Regatta Admin fee of Euro 10, per participant in each International Crew attending the Festival.
